Forerunners of EUROPHRAS-conferences The tradition of the Europhras-conferences and
their forerunners are listed here (in German). EUROPHRAS-conferences The society's first conference (and annual general meeting) took place in Uppsala/Sweden 15 - 18 June 2000. The second conference organized by EUROPHRAS (and general meeting) took place in Germany 2 - 5 June 2002. The third conference organized by EUROPHRAS (and general meeting) took place in Basel from 26 - 29 September 2004. The program of the conference and the abstracs are online here. (HERE

Information on the publications of the lectures of the conference in Basel 2004 will be send to the contributors by e-mail. From 9-11 June 2006, the Europhras conference "Phraseology disciplinarily and interdisciplinarily" with a general meeting has taken place at the University of Veszprém/Hungary. It has been organised by Csaba Földes.

In special and justifiable cases, Europhras members can apply for a travel allowance to enable them to attend Europhras conferences.

1. The applicant must have been a member of Europhras in the year preceding the application.
2. The applicant must be participating in the conference actively, e.g. by presenting a paper or by handing in a report on the conference to the board.

1. Specification of applicant's interest in phraseology
a) As a young academic: the subject of the dissertation in progress, work on a project, etc.
b) As an established academic: presentation of a list of publications (or a list of publications over the past 5 years).
A link to a homepage is sufficient if the corresponding information can be found there.
2. Expenses applied for
a) Indication of the total cost of travel expenses, taking into account all possible measures to reduce costs
b) A declaration on whether funding is to be expected from elsewhere and, if so, in which amount c) The sum of the travel expenses applied for Please note: applicants are expected to bear part of the travel expenses themselves. |

Applications for a travel allowance should be made at least 6 weeks before the start of the Europhras conference. The payment / bank transfer of a travel allowance will be made at the Europhras conference or afterwards.
